The study aimed to explore the innovative management in characteristics school. To attain the goal, a qualitative case study was used to choose a well known school, and the character development has become the core idea. Research results indicated: (1) the school characteristic was implemented step by step by combine the idea of school and social environment needs; (2) the innovative management was involved the strengthen of students' competitive advantage in the future; (3) the contributing factor included the plan of Ministry of Education, culture of trust, and the foreign language atmosphere; and the barriers were the difficulty of full English teaching and separate out teachers' time; (4) to maintain the niche were to deepening the existing target, enhance the professional competence of teachers, and develop the combined expertise of students. At least, suggestions relating to innovative management in characteristics school are proposed.
