外語學院特色經營之個案研究

A Case Study of Characteristics Management in Institute of Foreign Language

摘要


本研究以學校特色的創新經營為主要焦點,選擇一所大家眾所皆知的特色學校,且其特色已成為學校發展核心的外語學院進行個案研究。研究結果顯示:一、個案學校將外語特色的定位結合創校理念和社會環境需求循序的全面發展;二、個案學校推行外語特色的創新經營融入學生未來競爭優勢的強化;三、帶動個案學校推行外語特色的促進因素包含教育部獎助計畫、信任文化、外語氛圍;障礙因素來自全英文授課的難度以及教師時間的切割;四、個案學校保有外語特色利基之作法來自於既有目標的深化、教師專業能力的提升以及發展學生複合專業能力。最後,依據結論,針對學校發展特色之創新作法提出建議。

The study aimed to explore the innovative management in characteristics school. To attain the goal, a qualitative case study was used to choose a well known school, and the character development has become the core idea. Research results indicated: (1) the school characteristic was implemented step by step by combine the idea of school and social environment needs; (2) the innovative management was involved the strengthen of students' competitive advantage in the future; (3) the contributing factor included the plan of Ministry of Education, culture of trust, and the foreign language atmosphere; and the barriers were the difficulty of full English teaching and separate out teachers' time; (4) to maintain the niche were to deepening the existing target, enhance the professional competence of teachers, and develop the combined expertise of students. At least, suggestions relating to innovative management in characteristics school are proposed.
