Recent Developments of Nursing Education in Taiwan

This paper summarizes four nursing educators' reports about recent developments of nursing education in Taiwan at the 2011 Macau International Nursing Symposium. The key developments were: accreditation of nursing programs, focusing on people centered care, improvement of the core nursing competencies in nursing education which includes not only nursing technical skills but also critical thinking and lifelong learning abilities.
