摘要

《左傳》是一部傑出的文學巨著，具有很高的藝術成就。《左傳》文章敘述完整，文筆嚴密，創造許多精采的篇章和富有魅力的文學語言。
本文擬就《左傳》中的夢，在社會發展與歷史文化的背景下觀察，藉由《左傳》夢的內容記載，探索夢的底蘊。
本文以《左傳》中夢的底蘊為探索範疇。從這些夢的記載中，得知「夢」可當作人神溝通或預見未來的途徑。因此各式的夢，或視為神諭，或視為預兆，對夢的占卜活動，成為一種文化現象。人民的信仰，深信夢兆中的啟示，而被上位者當成一種運用的意識型態，借夢之名達其目的。所以左氏記載夢，是反映社會史實，闡釋人文的重要意義。
