科技博物館與產業文化資產的本質關聯與其可扮演的積極角色

摘要

科技博物館以人類科技發展等科學、技術、產業相關文化資產為主要蒐藏標的，並肩負其詮釋及大眾溝通的任務，可見科技博物館與產業文化資產在本質上有所關聯。本文先說明科技博物館的類型與產業文化資產的範圍，再進一步闡述兩者間的關聯性：科技博物館保存產業文化資產的正當性、優勢、範圍與方式，最後提出科技博物館可以如何扮演積極角色的建議，包括：運用科技博物館的現有優勢投入產業文化資產保存與搶救、朝向科技博物館與產業遺址整合管理經營、保存產業文化資產的完整與真實，以及運用真實科技文物於展示與教育等活動，以期達致促進產業文化資產的保存、利用與再生。

Science and technology museums deal with scientific, technological, and industrial objects. They aim to introduce the development of science, technology and industry to the general public through interpretations of their collections thus has relevance to industrial heritage and plays an important role in this regard. The authors first illustrate the types of science and technology museums and the scope of industrial heritage. Science and technology museum's relevance to industrial heritage is then discussed. Finally, suggestions are made for science and technology museums playing an active role in preserving industrial heritage.
