摘要

目的：探討不同婚姻離合態度夫妻的特質。方法：以與精神科接觸、先生為施暴者的夫妻為研究對象，將其分為維持婚姻、猶豫、衝突和離婚等四組比較相關變項，以了解各組特徵及影響其態度的因素。結果：維持和衝突組比另外兩組的社經地位高、較多來自門診、較少有精神疾病診斷及物質濫用、暴力較侷限在家裡且程度較輕、權力關係較多為「先生優勢」。離合不定是夫妻關係糾葛的具體呈現，痛苦源自無法作出決定，直到他們能釐清糾雜的情感才能止息。婚姻離合的決定權在於權力結構中的優勢者。此外也提出幾種與原生家庭相關的權力結構類型。結論：了解各組的特質、影響離合的因素、作出決定的歷程與夫妻權力關係，才能提供離合困境夫妻所需要的幫助。

Background and Purpose: To explore the features of marital violent couples with different inclinations toward their marriage. Methods: The subjects of this study were couples with a violent husband recruited from a mental hospital. According to their different inclinations toward their marriage, they were allocated into four groups: 'both agree to remain marriage', 'hesitate', 'conflict', and 'both agree to be divorced', and then relevant variables were compared, the material of marital therapy were analyzed, in order to comprehend their characteristics and to explore the factors affecting their attitudes toward their marriage. Results: The couples of ‘both agree to remain marriage' and 'conflict' were with significant differences from other two groups in that they were in higher socio-economic status, more cases came from out-patient department, less with psychiatric diagnosis and history of substances abuse, with minor degree of violence and confined in their home, and more cases' marital power relations were husband dominant. The conflicting attitudes toward their marriage were the representatives of enmeshed relations. Sufferings were due to their indecisiveness, and that would last until the enmeshed emotions were clarified. It was noted that the final say of leaving or remain about their marriage was more dependent on the one who power dominant. In addition, several patterns of marital power structure associate with family-of-origin were discussed, marital violence were not only problems of power and control but had to do with relational issues such as affection and care among family. Conclusion: With better understanding of the features of marital violent couples with different inclinations toward their marriage, of those affecting factors and the process of decision-making, and of the marriage power relation, the helpers could afford the helps the couples need.
