摘要

1955年代，《蕉風》創刊早期的創作，其語彙與語境多呈推崇樂觀、正面積極的價值觀，這也是雜誌創刊之初，馬華文學現實主義最常見的特質。本文以南來文人馬摩西為討論個案，在當時眾多南來的文人當中，無論是獨立之前或之後，像馬摩西那樣通曉埃及語文和中文的伊斯蘭教徒，以其宗教、學歷與曾任國民黨外交官的經歷，可說是別無僅有。1949年中國政治易權後，馬來亞的國民黨外交領事館隨之關閉，馬摩西留在新加坡，後轉任宗教官。本文從馬摩西在《蕉風》初期發表的稿件開始，以及從他南來之後有關流動、旅行、家與記憶的敘述，闡述他從中國雲南回族，以及南來抵達馬來亞後，這之間經歷的多重身分認同轉換，與此同時，自身的異質性也必須在不同的社群裡選擇性地顯露與隱藏。

The earlier articles published in Jiaofeng during 1950s, were more optimist and positive in their tone and vocabularies used. This article focused on the discussion on one of the writers of Jiaofeng that migrate from China, Ma Mo Xi, and try to analysis the exilic, mobility and settlement narratives that portrayed in his writings. Ma Mo Xi was a Muslim and diplomatic officer of Kuomintang but has to resigned after the defeat of Kuomintang. He has a good apprehension of both Egyptian and Chinese language. The multiple identities, including as a Muslim who turn him into a religious officer in Malaya and also the 'non-left' identity due to his previous service with Kuomintang, and his exilic / travel experiences made him unique figures in the Malayan Chinese literature production scenario. This article focused on the writings by Ma Mo Xi published in Jiaofeng of earlier period. It had discussed the narratives of movement, travel, home and memory after he came to Malaya . These narratives were related to the conversions of his identity from a Muslim in Yunnan China to a writer of Mahua literature as well as a religious Muslim officer in Malaya. As he has to adapt to the living environment in Malaya, these multiple identities has to go through the process of revealing and hiding of certain aspect which is heterogeneity to the multi -ethnic social structure in Malaya.
