The study explored the various competing models of recreational sport constraint (RSC) on students of colleges and universities of technology in Taiwan. This research used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to analyze the various competing models to determine which model can be the best model to explain the students' RSC structure. The target population included of 94 colleges and universities of technology. Thirty schools were selected to comprise the sample size. Surveys were distributed to a total of 515 students; 403 (78%) were returned and analyzed. A cluster random sampling and a simple random sampling design were used to gather the data from the sample; the study selected the second-order factor model from three candidate models. The results concluded that students are more concerned about experiential constraint (EC) of RSC than individual constraint (IC), social constraint (SC), and opportunity constraint (OC). The future research will be concentrated on the promotion EC in order to reduce the influence factors of RSC.
