The theme of this article is focused on the relationship between early childhood caries (ECC) and caregivers. Despite the general global decline in the prevalence of dental caries, early childhood caries has become a significant problem in many developing countries. In Taiwan, the incidence of early childhood caries is 15% in 2 year-old children, and that increase to 72% in 3~6 year-old children. The aim is to make the public pay attention to ECC. The children depend on their parents or caregivers for good oral care. Therefore, a good knowledge of early childhood caries and accurate oral care skill are important in maintaining children's oral health.
