The purpose of this study was to investigate the prediction of the satisfaction of the male college basketball athletes on goal orientation, cognitive of exercise motivational climate and the perceived competence. Subjects for this study were 233 male college athletes. Simple correlation and hierarchical regression analysis were used for data analysis and results showed that the task orientation and task orientation climate had showed significant difference (p<0.5) in the predication of the athletes' satisfaction but no significant different in the ego orientation, ego orientation climate and perceived competence. Section of the study outcomes support the aforementioned hypothesis and for those not agree with the purposed hypothesis, researcher come out with the following reasons: 1. subjects were all different 2. the value of the athlete changes. This study is worth for the coaches and school physical teachers to use as reference for their trainings.
