融入科學倫理於哲學類通識課程的實踐與評估:以「哲學與人生」課程為研究場域

摘要


科技許諾人們一個美麗新世界,卻也將我們帶往不確定且充滿風險的未來。就高等教育這個科學傳播的場域來說,除了傳授科學知識之外,如何引導青年學子正視科技所帶來的負面影響,同時也是必須正視的課題。本研究所欲探討融入科學倫理專題的通識課程,必須是一種能打動學習者「人性」的倫理教學;除了蒐集並評析相關的科學倫理議題與案例,還希望把這些議題和案例放在教室的情境中,與學生們對話,並透過相關的文本、多媒體與作業設計來啟發他們情感、同理心與道德想像力,使他們具備能與他人和外在環境「切題回應」的倫理知能。本文從科技所帶來的負面影響及其所觸及的倫理議題出發,透過哲學課程的設計與教學實踐,來探究一種確實可操作的通識教學向度。

Science seems to promise a wonderful world, but it also brings human into an uncertain future of perils. Except for the indoctrination of scientific knowledge, how to lead students to better understand the adverse effect of science is worthy of educators' attention in the field of Science Communication. Therefore, the teaching strategy of the study focused on integrating the Ethics of Science in general education and intended to engage students in the activities of discussion and reflection. It is expected to inspire students' emotions, empathy, and ethic imagination to develop their ethical capacity from the learning of texts, multimedia, and assignment design. This study emphasized the philosophical reflection on scientific impact, and furthermore deepened into the ethical issues brought by science. To ensure a practical dimension, this article is stemmed from the practices of a philosophical course design and teaching. it is hoped to offer a more active and practical aspect of general education.
