The purpose of this study was to investigate the habits, attitudes and results of the parents who read to their preschool children in the Tainan Area. Subjects consisted of 390 parents. Based on frequency, percentage, chi-square analysis and one-way ANOVA. The main results of this study are as follows: 1. There are different proportions in the parents of different backgrounds. These differences manifested themselves among educational levels and vocations. 2. There are significant differences in the attitudes of the parents who read to their preschool children among the different educational levels and vocations. 3. There are significant differences in the results of the parents who read to their preschool children among the different educational levels and vocations. Based on the results, the researchers offer some suggestions to the kindergarten teachers and parents.
