The Parenting Process of New Immigrant Mothers with Children Having Special Needs

摘要


本研究主要從新移民家庭特殊需求子女之母親的角度,來探究育有特殊需求子女的教養歷程。針對一位有意願敘述其教養歷程,而且中文表達清晰流利的新移民家庭特殊需求子女之母親進行研究。採取質性研究方法,透過訪談、觀察來探討新移民家庭特殊需求子女之母親的原生家庭教育歷程、對特殊需求子女的教育歷程。研究發現:一、教養子女品格形成與行為發展上,受到成長環境、原生父母的教養經驗影響。二、受限本身教養知能與語言能力,使教導孩子更加困難。

This research was from new immigrant mothers' perspective to address parenting process of a child having special needs. To invite a new immigrant mother whose Chinese was clear and fluent was willing to describe her parenting process. This research adopted qualitative research and gained information through interview and observation. The research findings were presented as follows: (a) the immigrant mother's original family and growth experiences affected her parenting experiences. (b) it was difficult to participate in child's education because of her limited language and knowledge and skills for raising children.
