The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among interrole conflict, leisure coping strategy and well-being as well as clarify the moderating influences of leisure coping strategy in their relationships. A total of 456 valid questionnaires were collected from a sample of the married female teachers in elementary and junior high school in Central Taiwan. Structural equation modeling was used to estimate a model linking interrole conflict, leisure coping strategy to well-being. As expected, the results show that a teacher having greater interrole conflict leads to a low level of well-being; leisure coping strategy positively and significantly influenced well-being. The findings further revealed that leisure coping strategy moderated the effect of interrole conflict on well-being. This indicates that the higher the level of leisure coping strategy, the smaller is the likelihood that interrole conflict will lead to lower well-being.
