The severe labor shortage problem in Taiwan brings about a sharp increase in the population of international migrant workers (migrants) from Indonesia. Migrants face problems such as life adjustment, labor-employer relations, work pressure, language barriers, migration policies, as well as cultural and religious differences, which in turn lead to many negative behaviors and impacts of labor-employer conflicts. With migrants as the target group, the main purpose of this study is to explore the leisure barriers faced by migrants in Taiwan through vivo coding, open coding, axial coding and selective coding of grounded theory, and to further explore the model of leisure constraints faced by these migrants. Based on the triangulation method, the reliability and validity of the study are evaluated by experts. The study shows that the leisure barriers faced by migrants in Taiwan are psychological pressure, financial pressure, employer's attitude, employment condition, interpersonal communication, leisure needs, social acceptance, migrant policy, and negative behaviors. The model of leisure constraints faced by migrants includes psychological adjustment, software facilities, hardware facilities, travel preferences, financial limitations and cultural differences. The results of this study could be referenced for the future development of migrant policies, tourism and leisure planning, and international tourism for Muslims.
