應用本體論發展產品設計知識庫-開發手機設計知識庫為例

The Development of Product Design Knowledge Base Using Ontology: A Case Study of Cell Phone Design

摘要


科技一日千里,技術創新快速,使得產品的生命週期相對縮短。知識已成為企業在產品設計竸爭中取勝不可或缺的必要元素。然而,資訊過載往往阻礙了企業智慧的探索,在缺乏適當的文件管理下,這些知識資產並無法被系統化地保存、管理與分享,致使設計工程師需要耗費相當的時間與精力尋找所需的資訊或知識文件,這也造成學習上的障礙。隨著知識管理技術的日益成熟,此種障礙可以藉由知識管理中的知識庫技術加以克服,其中知識庫不但可以協助知識工作者取得知識、了解專門領域的概念,亦可幫助企業了解整體的知識分佈與知識的強弱。為此,本研究提出了知識庫的建置架構,其主要分為二個部分:一是知識庫建置、二是資訊搜尋介面。在知識庫部份,首先將某特定領域的知識概念外顯於本體論中,並以知識庫整合本體論中所定義的概念階層與領域之共享語彙,而在資訊搜尋機制的部份,則使用XML技術,設計一個使用者介面來搜尋知識,並且不需要知道文件內部結構及查詢語言。最後本研究以手機設計為實證對象,驗證系統的可行性。

Along with the development of knowledge economy, knowledge is recognized as essential to success in business. Businesses have many knowledge assets to reserve, manage and share systematically under the appropriate document management. Therefore, knowledge workers spend their time browsing and looking for information. As the knowledge management becomes increasingly mature, this obstacle can be overcome by the emerging ontology methodology. The knowledge base can help knowledge workers obtain knowledge and understand domain concepts well. It also can help understand distributions and intensity of knowledge about the whole business. In this research we propose a knowledge base framework that can facilitate knowledge management within design environment. The framework can classify two major parts, one is knowledge base creation process and the second part is knowledge search process. In the process of knowledge base creation, we integrate the ontology technology into knowledge base. In the knowledge search process, we utilize XML technology to design an interface for querying knowledge without worry about the internal structure and the formal query language. To demonstrate the system feasibility, we use a case study of mobile phone design to prove feasibility of the proposed system.
