In this study, three golf shoes with 11 spikes, 7 spikes and no spike were used to compare front foot sole's coefficients of friction (COF) when the subject wearing them. All the spikes on these shoes are the same types. Then, how the spike to effect the COF of golf shoe could be comprehended. One male golf recreational player was recruited as subject. In experiment, the subject should wear these three shoes and using 7 iron to swing respectively. When the subject was acting swing, VICON motion analysis system (six M2 cameras, sampling rate: 500 Hz; one AMTI force plate, sampling rate: 1000 Hz) was used to divide its swing motion into several phases and gather values of force acting to the ground. EXCEL software was used to compute COF. Result showed the performance of COF was better when wearing golf shoe with 11 spikes to swing, the performance of COF was normal
