護理系高中背景學生入學後學習經驗之探求-以北市某技職大學為例

Exploring the Postenrolment Learning Experiences of Nursing Students According to Their Senior High School Background - A Case Study of a Technical and Vocational University in Taipei City

摘要


目的:在教育部多元管道入學政策下,技職大學護理系學生主要來源轉為一般高中與綜合高中畢業生。因此,為提昇教學成效,本研究目的為了解學生學習經驗以作為教學精進之依據。方法:採質性研究的焦點團體訪談法。以四技護理系高中背景入學學生為研究對象,共計20 位學生參與。研究共進行三次焦點團體討論,每位學生參與其中一次焦點團體,每次約二至三小時,依半結構指引方式進行深入錄音訪談,並將訪談結果的資料轉錄成文本後進行內容分析。結果:高中背景學生入學後學習經驗可歸納出「無法承受的『重』」、「『愛』『恨』交織的實習」、「需要的渴求」與「再次出發迎頭趕上」四個主題經驗。結論:本研究真實呈現高中背景學生之學習狀況及其內心感受,研究結果將可提供未來課程設計、學習規劃與輔導學生之依據。

Objective: Because of the Taiwan Ministry of Education's multiple admission-channel policies, the main sources of students enrolled at the nursing departments in technical and vocational universities are general and comprehensive senior high school graduates. Thus, to promote the teaching effectiveness, this study aimed at understanding students' learning experiences, which can form a basis for refining teaching skills. Methods: This study conducted focus-group interviews involving 20 nursing students enrolled in 4-year programs at a technical and vocational university in Northern Taiwan. Three focus-group meetings were held, each of which lasted approximately 2-3 hours, with each participant attending at least one meeting. The in-depth interviews were conducted following a semi-structured guideline and recorded. The interview recordings were transcribed for a content analysis. Results: The postenrolment learning experiences of the nursing students are summarised into the following four thematic experiences: the unbearable load; intertwining mixed feelings about internships; the desire of needs; and setting off again and catching up. Conclusion: This study faithfully presented the learning and emotional states of students graduated from senior high schools. The findings may serve as a reference for course design, lesson planning, and student counselling in the future.
