摘要

21世紀の日常生活では、AI（Artificial Intelligence）や人工知能という言葉をよく耳にするようになっている。日々の技術革新により躍進したAIに代替される職種リストには、教師という仕事も含まれている。外国語教育の5技能のうちの一つである翻訳は日進月歩の技術進歩を遂げたAIに取って代わられる可能性が大いにある。その中で、人文社会系の教育が脅威をもたらしているAIとどのようにかかわっていくかは、避けて通れない課題と認識する必要がある。本論文では「人工知能AIと外国語翻訳」をテーマに、実際の用例からAIとのかかわり方の一端を示す。研究手順として、まず、AIの語源．定義．歴史．分類を簡単に紹介する。次に今まで論じられてきた外国語翻訳に関する先行研究から諸課題をピックアップする。それに続き、論者が実際に翻訳した多和田葉子の『献灯使』を例に、現在よく使われていると言われる翻訳ソフトのGOOGLE翻訳、EXCITE翻訳（高電社）、Fresheye翻訳、百度翻訳の4種類を応用し、翻訳したものと比較対照する。最後に、その間の差異に着目し、AIとのかかわり方について、提言する。

生活在21世紀的日常生活中、AI（Artificial Intelligence）或人工智慧常是耳熟能詳的字彙。教師是被隨著技術改革而躍進的AI取代的職種之一。聽說讀寫譯的外語教育五技能當中的翻譯，是極有可能被技術層面日新月異AI所取代。目睹此態，深深體認出如何與帶給人文社會科學教育莫大威脅的AI共存，是無可避免的課題。於是設定「人工智慧AI與外語翻譯」為題，試著從實際的範例中摸索出與AI的相處之道。將採取研究步驟如下。首先簡單介紹AI的語意來源．定義．歷史．分類等。繼之從論及外語翻譯的相關研究中，彙整相關課題。之後論者本身實際翻譯的多和田葉子名著《獻燈使》中挑出代表性的例子，並藉由目前常被使用的谷歌翻譯、EXCITE翻譯、Fresheye翻譯、百度翻譯的4種翻譯軟體試譯來相對照比較。最後綜合其差異性，提示當前與AI截長補短的共存共榮方式。｜In everyday life in the 21st century, we often hear the word AI or artificial intelligence. The job list replaced by AI that made a leap forward due to daily technological innovation also includes a work called a teacher and so on. There is much possibility that AI that has advanced technological progress will replace the translation, which is one of the five skills of foreign language education. Among them, it is necessary to recognize how humanity and social education involvement with AI posing a threat is an unavoidable task. In this thesis, ＂AI and Foreign Language Translation＂ is the theme and shows parts of how to relate AI and translation from actual translation examples. As a research procedure, this thesis first briefly introduce the origin, definition, history and classification of AI. Next, this thesis will pick up various issues from the previous research on foreign language translation which has been discussed up to now. Following that, this thesis will use four kinds of translation software such as GOOGLE translation, EXCITE translation (Kodensha), Fresheye translation, and Baidu translation of currently used translation software and will compare and contrast with the content translated by the author as an example of Yoko Tawada's 'The Emissary'. Finally, focusing on the difference between them, this thesis will propose how to relate to AI and translation.
