應用新聞報導內容分析探討桃園市的自然災害特性

CONTENT ANALYSIS OF NEWSPAPER REPORTS ABOUT NATURAL DISASTER IN TAOYUAN CITY

摘要


近年來環境及氣候的變遷,引發桃園地區多起自然災害事件,不僅造成民眾生命財產損失,亦屢屢登上媒體版面。新聞媒體的報導次數,與民眾受災的程度密切相關。本研究以1986年至2015年,共30年間,以新聞報導中所呈現的土石流、崩塌、水災、風災、旱災等議題為研究對象進行內容分析,以瞭解桃園地區自然災害事件報導的時空分布特性和報導取向。研究結果顯示,在空間分佈上,土石流、崩塌、風災等災害,以復興區的報導次數最多,水災報導則以中壢區次數最多,旱災則因其影響範圍廣大,遍及桃園地區,故在空間上較無明顯集中地點。另外,在時間分佈上,土石流、崩塌、水災、風災的相關報導多集中於夏秋季節,誘發因素主要與颱風、西南氣流、鋒面有關,尤其是2001年的納莉颱風最為嚴重,旱災議題則主要集中於冬春季節,和冬季降雨量不足、梅雨季降雨不足或延遲來臨有關。

Recently, environmental and climate changes have enhanced multiple natural disasters in Taoyuan, which not only threatened people's life and property but also became important topics in media reports. There was a strong connection between the frequency of media reports and disaster influence on public. Therefore, this research analyzed newspaper reports from 1986 to 2015 about debris flow, landslide, flood, wind damage, and drought disasters based on the content analysis in order to realize the temporal and spatial distribution and characteristics of natural disasters in Taoyuan City. The results showed that considering the spatial distribution, the disaster reports frequencies in Fuxing District about debris flow, landslide, and wind damage were the highest than other districts in Taoyuan. In addition, the Zhongli District was often referred to the flood reports. However, the drought reports covered whole Taoyuan City, and there was no significant difference among all districts. Moreover, considering the temporal distribution, the disaster reports of debris flow, landslide, flood, and wind damage usually presented in summer and fall seasons. The main trigger factors can be summarized into typhoons, southwesterly flow, and frontal. The disaster reports of drought events were mainly happened in winter and spring seasons, and it can be attributed to the insufficient rainfall in winter or rainy season, and delay in rainy season.
