以活躍老化理論探討身心機能活化運動對於健康之影響

Use the Theory of Active Aging to Explore the Effects of Physical and Psychological Activation Exercises on Health

摘要


我國老年人口不斷攀升,如何促進高齡者的健康已成為重要的議題。從活躍老化的觀點來看,必須在老化的過程中,提升高齡者的生理、心理、社會健康,進而維持其自主與獨立生活的能力。高齡者從事「身心機能活化運動」可為增進其活躍老化的重要策略之一,然而國內較少有研究探討參與身心機能活化運動對於與其不同層面健康之影響。目的:探討高齡者參與身心機能活化運動對於其生理健康、心理健康以及社會健康之影響。方法:本研究採用半結構式深度訪談,以便利取樣的方式,於臺南市某社區關懷據點進行質性訪談,共32位社區銀髮族接受訪問。結果:受訪者皆認為參與身心機能活化運動能提供不同層面的健康效益:一、生理層面效益包括體能提升、精神變好以及從能疾病中康復。二、心理層面效益包括能維持心情愉悅、獲得成就感。三、社會層面效益包括增進人際關係、加強親子關係以及擴展社會網絡。結論:參加身心機能活化運動確實能提升生理、心理以及社會層面的健康,幫助銀髮族展開健康老化的生活,其可做為推動活躍老化的重要策略之一,以達到高齡者活躍老化之目標。

The elderly population in my country continues to rise, and how to promote the health of the elderly has become an important issue. From the perspective of active aging, it is necessary to improve the physical, psychological, and social health of the elderly in the process of aging, so as to maintain their ability to live independently. Elderly people's participation in "Physical and psychological activation exercises" can be one of the important strategies to promote their active aging. However, there are few domestic studies exploring the effects of participating in physical and psychological activation exercises on their health at different levels. Purpose: To explore the impact of elderly people's participation in physical and psychological activation exercises on their physical health, mental health and social health. Methods: This study adopted semi-structured in-depth interviews and conducted qualitative interviews at a community care base in Tainan city in a convenient sampling method. A total of 32 community silver-haired people were interviewed. Results: Interviewees believed that participating in physical and psychological activation exercises can provide different levels of health benefits: 1. Physiological benefits include physical improvement, mental improvement, and recovery from functional diseases. 2. Psychological benefits include being able to maintain a happy mood and gain a sense of accomplishment. 3. Social benefits include enhancing interpersonal relationships, strengthening parent-child relationships, and expanding social networks. Conclusion: Participating in physical and psychological activation exercises can indeed improve physical, psychological and social health and help silver-haired people to live a healthy aging life. It can be used as one of the important strategies to promote active aging to achieve the goal of active aging for the senior.
