Rugby is a high intensity and physical collision at the team sports. To repeat execution a sprint and change of direction in the competition, the rugby players are required a explosiveness, agility and acceleration of ability to important. For the past few years, used the resistance training way to improve the performance of rugby. However, in recent years, plyometrics training is common in football special training. Previous studies have focused on plyometrics training intensity, frequency, and volume for rugby player. This review paper was discussed the physiological function of plyometrics training and the evaluation method and intensity of training and we hope that can provide the references to coaches and players when they are in training.
