當社區與藝術邂逅－「嘉義縣北回歸線環境藝術行動」個案分析

摘要

節慶活動在近年被大量開發及創造，除了傳統節慶之外，以不同元素作爲特質的新興活動亦蓬勃發展，或以藝術作爲訴求，或以地方的特色建構吸引力。嘉義縣北回歸線環境藝術行動於2005年展開至今，以藝術進駐社區形式，進行一連串相關操作計畫。這樣的藝術節慶，同時涵容了社區營造、藝術美學及節慶活動，而這樣的「行動」在真實操演的過程中，是回應了節慶的何種功能？亦或是創造出新的社會價值或地方意義？尤其是藝術家與社區居民間的接觸與碰撞過程，是透過行動挖掘出了潛在的社區本質？亦或是新能量注入後轉化了社區體質？本研究試以Lefebvre提出的社會空間生產三元論作爲理論視角，並以「嘉義縣北回歸線環境藝術行動」作爲分析個案，探討節慶的意義與價值。

In recent years, festivals have been constructively developed and created. In addition to traditional festivals, different characteristics, such as art-based or local-based of oncoming festivals have also been newly risen. Art as Environment - a cultural action on Tropic of Cancer in Chiayi County launched in 2005. It is a form of artists in residency, and it plans a series of related operations. This art festival includes community building, art/aesthetics and festivals. However, what does the ＂action＂ here mean to respond the festival features in the real process? Or to create a new social value or local significance? Especially when artists contact with community residents through the action, will it discover potential nature of the community? Or will the action transform the community after infusing into the new energy? Three dimensional spaces in the production of space mentioned by Henri Lefebvre are adopted in this study, taking ＂Art as Environment - a cultural action on Tropic of Cancer in Chiayi County＂ as the analysis case to explore the meaning and value of this art festival.
