The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship of exercise attitude, exercise recognition, and health related-fitness in female college students (n=238, 21.0±1.6 year-old) with different physical activity participation. A student's physical condition questionnaire edited by the Ministry of Education was filled and a set exercise testing of health-related fitness was completed by each participant. The percentage of participants attended physical activities from zero (F0), once (FI), twice (FII), or trice (FIII) a week was 53%, 18%, 13%, or 16%, respectively, and the main source of sport and exercise knowledge was television program. The exercise-recognition of all participants was similar and the health-benefit of physical activity participation was totally agreed. The waist-hip ratio of FI, FII, and FIII was 0.73±0.03 (mean±SD), 0.73±0.05, and 0.74±0.04, respectively, and significantly lower than the ratio of F0 (0.76±0.05, unpaired-t test, p<.05). In addition, the health-related fitness state of FIII was significantly excelled F0. Therefore, in spite of the different physical activity participations, the exercise-attitude and -recognition in female college students are similar However, health-related fitness of participant who exercise trice a week is better than the sedentary peer.
