This study investigated the influence of the process quality and outcome quality of the instruction conducted by physical education (PE) teachers on the intention of students to retake courses. Stratified random sampling was conducted within the population of sophomores and juniors enrolled in PE courses at National Central University, Chung Yuan Christian University, and Yuan Ze University in Chungli, Taoyuan region during 2010 academic year. Statistical methods included descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling analysis, etc. The results showed that: 1. The process quality of the instruction conducted by PE teachers positively influenced the intention of students to retake courses; 2. The outcome quality of the instruction conducted by PE teachers has a positive impact on the intention of students to retake courses; 3. The process quality of the instruction conducted by PE teachers influenced the outcome quality of the instruction conducted by PE teachers positively. Finally, based on the results, recommendations were made for relevant units and PE teachers' reference.
