Psychobiography is a branch of personality psychology, attempting to holistically study people with cross-domain knowledge and long life units. This research adopts intersubjectivity as the epistemology, which is a new approach of psychobiography and is different from the traditional epistemic relativism. In Psychobiographical research, focusing on the second half of life in the life cycle is rare. This research invites, as a participant, Professor Ting Shing-Shiang (1952-), a senior psychobiographical scholar who had written the biography for Shen Cong-Wen, to co-construct the dialogue among life experiences, academic community, and social context. Professor Ting also jointly interpret and analyze Shen's biographical data during his significant transition period, and review Professor Ting's interview materials to narrate the relationship between one's family of origin experiences and one's life force after adulthood. The result of the research suggests Shen and Ting both share a life force exerted by marginalized political positions. To Ting, the consolidation of his middle and late life is done by integrating his family experiences in the early stages. This research aims at serving as a social influence by creating a middle and late life image with the case and providing a story and cultural sample.
