本研究開發出一種快速準確之HPLC分析法,對防曬化妝品中有效成分含量之檢測工作,具有高度應用價值。採用C_(18)管柱配合甲醇-水(88:12,v/v)含1%(v/v)醋酸等位(isocratic)沖提,可在11分鐘內有效分離五種化學防曬劑,平均理論板數達36440/m,沖提次序為:phenylbenzimidazolesulfonic acid、benzophenone-3、octyldimethyl PABA、octylmethoxycinnamate、butylmethoxylbenzoylmethane。五次重複分析的R.S.D.值介於0.93-1.32間。於濃度1-100ppm範圍線性良好,r^2介方合0.9998-0.9994間,偵測極限可達10-18 ppb。選擇十六種市售防曬化妝品進行分析,發現octylmethoxycinnamate及benzophenone-3的採用率最高,分別為87.5%及43.8%,octyldimethyl PABA在本研究所選擇之所街市售產品中皆未偵測到其存在。
A rapid HPLC procedure for the analysis of five of the most common sunscreen agents (Phenyl benzimidazole sulfonic acid Benzophenone-3 Octyl Dimethyl PABA Octyl Methoxy cinnamate Butyl Methoxylbenzoylmethane) from cosmetic products is described. Separations were performed on a C18 column eluted with methanol-water (88:12, v/v) containing 1%(v/v) acetic acid under isocratic conditions, and completed in 11 min. with an efficiency of about 36440/m theoretical plate numbers. It offers good reproducibility (R.S.D.=0.93-1.32) and shown to be linear in the range from 1 to 100 ppm. Detection limits range from 10 to 18 ppb with 5 L sample volume. Five sunscreen agents were assayed by applying the method to 16 commercial cosmetic products. The results indicate that Octyl methoxycinnamate (87.5%) and Benzophenone-3 (43.8%) were the most common sunscreen agents, and Octyl Dimethyl PABA was not existed in these commercial cosmetic products.
