養豬廢水資源化利用於微藻養殖

Resource Recovery of Piggery Wastewater for Algae Cultivation

摘要


養豬業是台灣地區最重要、最龐大的畜牧業,在養頭數達到近600萬頭,每日產生12萬至30萬噸污水。養豬廢水經污水處理系統處理後仍含有相當高的氮成份,排放後容易造成下游水體優氧化等污染。微藻養殖需要充足陽光、二氧化碳與氮、磷等植物生長所需養分。結合微藻養殖用於處理養豬排放廢水中殘餘的氮系污染物,可減緩污水排放造成的環境負荷,也可以回收利用污水中的營養源生產生質物資源。本研究取用北部某養豬場排放口廢水,含有氨氮約570 mg /L ,硝酸氮約9 mg/L,作部分取代微藻培養基添加,提供氮源,實驗結果顯示,在養豬廢水取代培養基60 %添加下,N. oculata、Chlorella sp.與C. minutissima等藻株都能有89%以上氮源利用率。其中Chlorella sp.可將培養基中氨氮濃度由242 mg/L降至0.04 mg/L,利用率幾乎達100 % 。廢水添加也促進微藻生長,三株藻在5天的培養後,細胞乾重都可累積至4 g/L左右。實驗結果顯示,在微藻未達生長飽和條件下,微藻對於硝酸氮與氨氮的利用率可接近100% 。本研究結果證明利用微藻養殖來處理與回收養豬廢水中的氮系污染物的可行性。

Pig farm is an important and extensive livestock industry. In Taiwan, there are about 6 million pigs feeding, and about 120,000-300,000 tons/day wastewater discharged from pig farms. The piggery wastewater contains high quantity o f nitrogen pollutants such as ammonia or nitrate, which could cause eutrophication in lake or river, even after convention wastewater treatment. Algae cultivation need abundant sun nutrient, such as nitrogen and phosphate. Therefore,abundant nutrient in piggery wasteweater could be recovery and used as the necessary resource for algae culture. This study added 60% piggery wastewater from a piggery in northern Taiwan containing 570 mg/L ammonia and 9 mg/L nitrate into 3 times f/2 medium for cultivation of N. oculata, Chlorella sp. and C. minutissima. The ammonia could be utilized for more 89% in the all three algae cultivation. Especially, the Chlorella sp. almost utilized the 100% ammonia. After, 5 days cultivation, all the three algae could grow to more than 4 g/L. This study proved piggery wastewater could provide nutrient for algae culture and improve algae growth. Meanwhile, the algae culture utilizes the nitrogen in pig farm wastewater and avoids the eutrophication risk caused by piggery wastewater.
