We Need More Children's Park- Modern Children and Leisural Culture

摘要

由於社會的轉型與改變，不論是大人或小孩，休閒方式與以往皆有截然的不同。大部分的活動都侷守在一個小小的空間進行。例如成人的卡拉OK、PUB、KTV、MTV、搓麻將等；而小孩卻熱衷於看電視、看光碟（VCD）、玩電玩、上網聊天、交網友、煲電話粥等。教育固然重要，但也不能忽視兒童休閒文化的重要性，尤其是對學前的兒童，遊戲更是他們的主導活動。建設兒童公園的目的，主要是為兒童創造豐富多彩的戶外活動為主的良好條件，讓兒童在活動中接觸大自然熟悉大自然、接觸科學、鍛煉身體、增長知識。

Due to cultural changes and reforms, Asian adults and children have leisure activities that are different from the past. Most of the activities are confined within a small space. For example, adults like to pass their free times singing in Karaoke, spending time in the pub, watching MTV, playing majong,etc. Similarly, children spend a lot of time watching TV and VCD, playing TV/video games, doing net chatting, talking long time on the phone, etc. While children education is very important, children leisure activities should not be neglected. This is even more critical for pre-school children, as leisure activities are their main daily activities. One of the ways of solving this short coming is to provide them more outdoor leisure activities. By doing outdoor leisure activities, they will get in touch with nature and, hence, be familiar with nature. At the same time, they will obtain natural science knowledge and have a healthy body.
