摘要

黃炳煌筆名黃海，自幼家境清寒，過著苦難的日子，偏偏又罹患肺結核，使他成為一位失學的孩子。在這般的困境下，幸得他從小就喜歡天文學和自然科學，又擁有強烈的好奇心，所以讓他對未來的科幻世界產生想像，進而將它們化為一字一旬，開始創作他的科幻小說，以紓解貧病交迫的童年生活。寫作因此成為他精神上的寄託，但是他不只為自己寫作，還為所有的小孩。他不斷的揣摩小孩子的心境，希望能創作出適合更多年齡層孩子的作品，邀他們跟他一道沉浸在幻想的世界裡，尤其科幻小說。

Huang Bing-Hung lived in extreme poverty when he was young. He wandered the street with his families at that time; therefore he became a kid who lacked formal schooling. Fortunately he liked astronomy and natural sciences, and had much curiosity about all things, those caused him to imagine the world of science in the future. Then he changed the imagination into the words which wrote many young adult science fictions to slacken the lives beset by poverty and illness in his childhood. He began to consign his spirit to writing, not only for himself but children. In order to write something suitable for every level of children, young adult science fiction especially, he often figures out their moods; hence he invites them to join in the fantastic world with him, and parents too.
