探索中高齡女性再就業之需求

Middle-Aged and Elderly Women's Desires to Return to Employment: An Exploratory Study

摘要


本研究旨在探討中高齡女性對於再就業的想法以及所需要的支持。透過立意取樣方法,針對8位中高齡女性進行訪談,文本資料分析採內容分析法。研究結果發現,中高齡女性再就業之想法,包括:(一)透過再就業,滿足社交、生理與經濟安全感之基本需求;(二)透過再就業,滿足自主、能力、知識與自我實現之成長需求。中高齡女性再就業所需要的支持,包括:(一)需要親朋好友情意態度的支持;(二)需要友善就業環境的支持。中高齡女性想要再就業,期待又怕受傷害;她們知道自己要再就業有不足之處,但渴望學習;也需要親朋好友的支持,才能眞的跨出來,投入職場貢獻服務。

The aims of this study were to explore the perceptions of re-employment for middle-aged and elderly women and the need for support with the purposive sampling. Eight middle-aged and elderly women were interviewed through semi-structured interview method. All interviews were transcribed and coded for the qualitative analysis. The research result showed that middle-aged and elderly women's needs and desires to return to the job market outside family included: (1) the desire to enlarge social circle through employment; (2) the desire for physiological satisfaction and economical security; (3) to gain a sense of autonomy, competency, self-growth and so on. The supports the participating subjects wish during re-employment include: (1) supports from friends and family members, and (2) age-friendly working environments. Middle-aged and elderly women look forward to re-employment but are worrying about being rejected and thus hurt emotionally. Even if they have limited abilities, they are willing to learn. They hope for family or friends to support them.
