Having gone through the decline of Buddhism in the recent years, Buddhism in Taiwan has made considerable development, with credit to the joint efforts of Buddhist community in Taiwan. In particular, the founder of Fo Guang Shan, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, has propagated the Buddha's teachings without being fixated on the traditional models and continuing to be innovative. In his early years of propagation, he has already been proactively promoting Buddhism to youth. In doing so, new life and energy has been brought to the traditional Buddhism. In terms of a common theme in Buddhism on feminism, Venerable Master Hsing Yun has demonstrated true equality for all beings. Talented females have been given many opportunities to shine in various ways. Additionally Venerable Master Hsing Yun has chosen common words and language that touches the heart of many people, which has truly brought Buddhism into people's daily lives. All of these have provided valuable experiences in spreading the Chinese traditions and cultures.
