Humanistic Buddhism has not only been the mainstream of the development of Chinese Buddhism over the last century, but also a popular focus of discussion of Buddhism in the academic field across the Cross-Strait for the past decade. There has been increasing research on Venerable Master Hsing Yun's theories of Humanistic Buddhism. However, the 〞Hsing Yun Model〞 and the ideology of establishing a new school of Buddhism are not enough to explain Venerable Master Hsing Yun's thoughts on Humanistic Buddhism, which is a 〞Buddhism of harmony〞 as one of its distinctive characteristics.
