In the process of globalizing Chinese Buddhism, Venerable Master Hsing Yun has made outstanding contributions to the spread of Buddhism in the West. His efforts and achievements in Buddhist internationalization are summarized in this paper, including: 1) creating international Buddhist organizations; 2) establishing branch temples based in western countries; 3) establishing modern institutes for Buddhist education; 4) cultivating talents with global perspectives; 5) organizing and translating Buddhist sutras; and 6) initiating religious and cultural dialogues. This paper discusses Humanistic Buddhism as the core of Venerable Master Hsing Yun's practice of Buddhist internationalization as well as the significance of the globalization of Buddhism.
