The aging population has a huge impact on the life of residents. Henan Province, as a large population province, has a large number of migrant workers and the phenomenon of empty nesting of the elderly is obvious. Therefore, Henan province is chosen as the study area, and the consumption level of residents is selected as the explanatory variable to establish a principal component regression model. The results show that four variables, namely, the proportion of elderly population, urban residents' consumption level, elderly population dependency ratio, and the number of urban workers' basic pension insurance participants, promote residents' consumption, while the number of health care structure inhibits residents' consumption. Therefore, suggestions such as fully developing the elderly market, building a perfect social security system, and formulating a reasonable pension insurance scheme are proposed.
