沒食子酸酯類抗氧化劑作為環保型木材保存藥劑之潛力

Potency of Gallates Antioxidant as an Environmentally Benign Preservative against Wood-degrading Fungi

摘要


木材具有諸多優良性質,故廣受喜愛並被應用於各種領域。暴露在不同環境下之木材難逃遭受各種危害因子之破壞,因而造成極大的經濟與資源損失,因此,木質用材需要加以保護。傳統之木材保存藥劑往往具有毒性,但藥劑之毒性常對其他生物或環境造成危害,因此研發環保型木材保存藥劑之需求益見迫切。本文概要闡述改善木材耐腐朽性之方法、木材保存藥劑種類與發展趨勢及木材腐朽菌對木材之降解模式,並將近期以沒食子酸酯類抗氧化劑作為木材保存藥劑之研究成果做一介紹與討論。

Wood products are used extensively in both indoor and outdoor applications because of their excellent properties. However, being a natural organic material, wood is susceptible to degradation - resulting in tremendous economic and resource losses. To extend their service life, wood products are therefore often treated with chemical preservatives. A major problem with traditional wood preservatives is that they pose a serious threat to the environment. Because of this, environmentally benign organic preservatives for wood are urgently needed. In this paper, wood protection technology, wood preservatives, and wood decay mechanisms, as well as some experimental results about potency of antioxidant gallates as environmentally benign preservatives against wood-decay fungi were reviewed and discussed.
