摘要

淨慧長老在上個世紀七○年代末八○年代初面臨著這樣一個重大的時代課題，即如何在新的歷史形勢下弘揚佛法的問題，在艱辛的探索過程中他很自然地就將自己的目光投向了海峽對岸同道們的弘化實踐。淨慧長老與星雲大師之間有關一段非常短暫的交往，星雲大師給淨慧長老留下來深刻的印象。淨慧長老對星雲大師與佛光山的實踐非常關注，時常將星雲大師和佛光山的實踐做為大陸佛教現代化的參照系，將星雲大師視為太虛大師人間佛教思想的繼承者、發展者和實踐者，對於星雲大師給予了高度評價。這些都成為淨慧長老的思想資源，對於豐富和提升淨慧長老生活禪思想的內容和品味，發揮了十分重要的作用。

In the late 1970s and early 1980s,such a major issue of the age that Mater Jinghui faces is how to promote the Buddhism in the new historical situation. He hopes to draw inspiration from the practice of his compatriots in Taiwan. He has had a very brief interaction with Hsing Yun, who impressed him deeply. He is very concerned about the practice of Hsing Yun and Foguangshan as a frame of reference, and regards Hsing Yun as the successor, developer and practitioner of Master Taixu's thought of human Buddhism, andhad given Hsing Yun a high evaluation. All these have become the ideological resources of Jinghui, which plays a very important role in enriching and enhancing the content and taste of the thought of the Chan of life.
