In the late 1970s and early 1980s,such a major issue of the age that Mater Jinghui faces is how to promote the Buddhism in the new historical situation. He hopes to draw inspiration from the practice of his compatriots in Taiwan. He has had a very brief interaction with Hsing Yun, who impressed him deeply. He is very concerned about the practice of Hsing Yun and Foguangshan as a frame of reference, and regards Hsing Yun as the successor, developer and practitioner of Master Taixu's thought of human Buddhism, andhad given Hsing Yun a high evaluation. All these have become the ideological resources of Jinghui, which plays a very important role in enriching and enhancing the content and taste of the thought of the Chan of life.
