摘要


串音干擾(crosstalk)是數位用戶迴路(digital subscriber line, DSL)系統在性能上最主要的限制因素。靜態頻譜管理(static spectrum management, SSM)演算法是一項傳統的作法,由於考慮到最差的情形而使用頻譜遮罩(spectral mask)。這種限制會導致較差的效能。而動態頻譜管理(dynamic spectrum management, DSM)演算法是一項重要的技術用來減輕串音干擾的影響,目前最有名的動態頻譜管理演算法是反覆式填水(iterative water-filling, IWF)演算法。本篇論文主要是改進應用於數位用戶迴路的反覆式填水演算法。模擬結果證實,在非對稱式數位用戶迴路(asymmetric digital subscriber line, ADSL)的下行傳輸情況下,以及在極高速數位用戶迴路(very high speed digital subscriber line, VDSL)的上行傳輸情況下,本論文所提出的方法均可有效地提升IWF效能,並由模擬結果發現本論文所提出的演算法效能接近和最佳頻譜管理 (optimal spectrum management, OSM) 演算法所達到的效能

Crosstalk is a major problem in modern digital subscriber line systems. Static spectrum management is the traditional way to solve the problem which considers worst case scenarios to impose some spectral mask. This is restrictive and leads to poor performance. Dynamic spectrum management is an important technique for mitigating crosstalk in DSL. The best known DSM is iterative water-filling algorithm. In this paper, we present a new dynamic spectrum management algorithm to improve the performance of IWF in the DSL system. Simulation results in downstream ADSL transmission and in upstream VDSL transmission scenario show that the new algorithm outperforms IWF. Simulation results also show that the performance of new algorithm approaches that of optimal spectrum management algorithm
