台灣TFT-LCD面板產業廠商競爭策略分析之研究

摘要


台灣 TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor LCD) 面板產業在IT產業蓬勃發展下成長,進而帶動對上游原料市場的需求。於桃竹區域與台南科學園區儼然成形的光電聚落,此一產業群聚的現象,以及相關的產業競爭策略引起廣泛研究。自 Poter (1990)提出產業群聚的概念後,學界出現許多不同層面的解釋,嚐試歸納產業群聚形成的原因, 並提出後續競爭優劣勢的分析。由於貿易逐步自由化與亞洲金融風暴、貨幣貶值、區域經濟之競爭壓力下,目前全球之大型TFT-LCD 產品之主要生產地為亞洲地區,其中台灣、日本、韓國之廠商已囊括全球近乎百分百之市場佔有率,此三地區之廠商所進行之商業行為,將緊密地牽動全世界整體大型TFT-LCD 產業之變化。 本研究採用個案研究法,選擇臺灣五大TFT-LCD面板廠商(友達、奇美、華映、瀚宇彩晶、廣輝),經由既有文獻的歸納和個案發現的推演後,歸納出臺灣TFT-LCD產業之最佳競爭策略,以供業界參考。台灣廠商之主要競爭優勢在於彈性之製造管理能力及良好之市場行銷通路,積極進行垂直策略聯盟以尋求與供應商及銷售通路間的垂直鏈結,使得相關的價值活動達到最佳化,以強化企業之競爭優勢。因此業者必須掌握企業核心競爭力、認清液晶循環趨勢及擬定企業競爭策略;進而尋求企業合併與上中下游產業的垂直整合;並且建議政府提供穩定的投資環境與提昇廠商研發能力,藉以在TFT-LCD產業中取得持續性的競爭優勢。
