This research related to the description of a place experienced by the body. The place hereby emphasizes the daily living and culture consisting of body and place which coexist all together. Researches related to the place, in the past, seemed over-emphasizing on the objective empirical examinations, and neglected the internal subjective experience of body. While comparing with the empirical researches on the place, this research utilizes two major parts comprising theory construction and methodology application which relate to "body-place" and attempts to describe the body-in-the place with the subjective experience. Firstly, utilizing the model deployed with the place ballet theory disclosed by David Seamon, the body exercises becomes a kind of daily living habit of the place working through the operation of "time-space". Researchers had participated in community activities held in Yilan historic streets and hoping to make up a cognitive map belonged to the body-in-the place with observation records of daily life as well as the method of deep interview with environmental community. Because Yilan historic streets have inherited the past cultural system, and hence accumulated a kind of daily living habit particularly in such place; although various functions thereof, at present, are still operating contiguously, such as temples, markets, night markets, herbal medicine street, blacksmith street and wine factories etc., where all activity behaviors happened in the places not only have developed a kind of regularity, in addition to the fruitful meaning to local community, but also the diversified activities held in these places could probably attract the active participation of foreign communities. By utilizing the method of coexistent body consisting of the body and place, there will be a possibility to rejustify the cultural landscape of daily life in Yilan historic streets.
