雖然虛擬實境技術提供之3D視覺功能可應用於產品生命週期各階段,但由於建構虛擬實境模型需花費大量的時間與成本,使得虛擬實境技術目前仍無法廣泛的被工業界所接受。然而,虛擬實境技術要廣泛的被工業界接受,必須縮短建構虛擬實境模型的時間並減少成本的花費。同類型的工業產品,通常具有相似的行為特性,利用此特性將現有產品的行為模型儲存,並重複使用至其他相似產品之行為模型建構,可大量減少時間與成本的花費。但由於行為模型的資料結構複雜,無法直接儲存與查詢,因此,本研究提出一結構化meta-data描述行為模型複雜的資料結構,meta-data的組成元件與資料結構較行為模型簡單,因此利用meta-data儲存與取得相似之行為模型將更為簡單。最後,我們以空油壓驅動器為例,討論以meta-data為基礎之行為模型查詢功能與查詢比對之細節。
Although many researches have proposed to apply the interactive 3D visualization and intuitive interface offered by virtual reality (VR) technology at various product development stages, the expensive and time-consuming construction process of VR model often hinders the widespread adoption of VR in industry. Fast and low-cost VR model construction thus becomes a critical factor for broader acceptance of VR by manufacturing companies. Considering that fact that many industrial products, e.g., products belonging to the same product family, have similar behaviors, it is reasonable to store the behavior models of existing products and reuse them later to construct behavior model of similar products. Behavior model storage and retrieval, however, are not easy because of the complex data structure contained in the behavior model, i.e., the scene graph and the animation circuits. This paper proposes a set of structured meta-data to represent the complex data structure in a behavior model at a higher level of abstraction. Since the composing elements and data structure of the meta-data are much simpler than those of the original behavior model, it is much easier to match and retrieve similar behavior models based on their meta data. Examples of query specification and query matching based on meta-data are explained in the context of hydro-pneumatic cylinders manufacturing.
