The context of this study is the female leaders. We used referent cognition theory to develop our hypotheses. We examine the relationships between female leaders’ leading traits and leadership effectiveness. I got 57 effective respondents. The results showed that 1.the traits of external interaction and interpersonal skills、influence、participative management、consideration and building team consensus are significantly related to leadership effectiveness 2.the female leaders with different marital status has significant differences in leading traits but educational background has no differences 3. female leaders’ leadership effectiveness has no significant difference in their educational background and martial status and whether they have children or not.
