網路攝影機的影像品質評量與檢測技術

摘要


評量影像品質的方法,在影像處理領域上一直是很重要的研究課題,許多相關的影像處理應用,如影像經過壓縮後的品質優劣、影像重建技術及測試攝影器材等,都會用到檢測影像品質的技術。目前大部分研究都以檢測數位相機的影像品質為主,還未有針對檢測網路攝影機的影像品質研究,一台網路攝影機是好是壞,評論與見解漸趨多元化,若仰賴過去直觀的經驗和看法來評估,較難客觀瞭解一台網路攝影機的完整性能。 本研究主要是在建立一套完整的網路攝影機最佳操作設定之方法,我們希望以即時、方便、及簡單的方式來評估網路攝影機的品質。為了檢測網路攝影機的影像品質,本論文列出一系列評量網路攝影機的方法,依其是否正式上線,可區分為兩個階段,第一階段是離線運作(Off-line)的檢測,本論文在網路攝影機出廠前,使用專業的Imatest軟體來對其所拍攝得到的影像做解析度、銳利度、色彩、雜訊與鏡頭變形的評估;第二階段是線上運作(On-line)的檢測,我們在網路攝影機出廠後,針對彩度、焦距及網路攝影機特有的網路傳輸介面提出評量效能的方式。 我們預期所獲得相關之學術資料可做為各製造廠或者是一般使用者日後改進或維護網路攝影機品質的參考依據。

In the domain of image processing, the method of measuring image quality is always a very important research topic. Many applications of image processing such as the quality of compressed images, the techniques of image reconstruction and the photography equipments testing and so on, will utilize the technology for measuring image quality. At present, the majority of researches has concentrated on examining the digital camera image quality. Yet, there is few researches focus on the examination of the quality of IP camera images. The impersonal criticism and comments for assessing an IP camera has tend towards diversification. If we just evaluate the quality through the senses of our direct observation and previous experience, it might be difficult to objectively understand the functions and performance of an IP camera. This research is mainly to establish a method for setting robust IP camera operations. We hope to develop an immediate, convenient and simple way to evaluate the quality of an IP camera. In order to examine the IP camera image quality, our research lists a series of methods to evaluate the quantity of IP cameras according to the two stages, before production and after on the market. The first stage, off-line stage, is the IP camera examination before production, our research utilizes the software, Imatest, to examine the quality of resolution, sharpness, color, noise and the lens distorts; the second stage, on-line stage, is the IP camera examination after production, we concentrate on examining the colorfulness, focus and the network. We expect the information on this academic research can assist the manufactures or the users in public as a reference of the following improvement or maintaining the quality of IP cameras on the network.
