碎形之仿生造形應用於飾品設計創作

摘要


「仿生」,顧名思義是指向生物界學習、模仿,或從生物界得到一些有助於改進我們生活的啟示,人們發現從觀察研討生物的生態、行為、功能、材質、組織和系統等方面都可以得到很多有助於人類科技及社會發展的寶貴奧祕。人類對世界的認知,仍然受到希臘哲學家均衡的審美觀、柏拉圖學派理想以及歐幾里得(Euclid)形狀的極大影響,也習慣運用圓、平行直線、正方形及長方形之類的形狀在自然界或是藝術創作中,甚至會認為音樂與藝術也應該基於這樣的基本對稱性和關係(John Briggs,1993)。在碎形揭示自然混亂無規則結構中的規律性及物理本質,亦開啟了人們對新型幾何的新認識,碎形獨有的特徵在碎形應用上與現實生活逐漸連成一線,甚至從自然的融合得到佐證。飾品設計上珠寶形式的原石來自於自然,必然有著與自然相仿的基本型態,與原石搭配或是單以金屬的形式創作的飾品也多設計成非歐基理德幾何般的造形,其多為有機或具體的自然形體,這樣的慣例衍生的形體與碎形幾何規則下所形成的圖像得到呼應。大自然的幾何與碎形幾何有著密不可分的關係,碎形所展現形態的特質更可能與飾品設計有著某種關聯,近年來飾品設計強調獨有性,人們對飾品的需求與要求欲增強烈,若能將碎形應用於飾品造形設計的範疇,因而帶來新的創作思維,產生新的視覺性,是有別於傳統歐氏幾何學且為創新的造形表現的。本研究是由發掘大自然與碎形在造形形態上的關聯,進而以仿生的觀點出發,將碎形延伸創作於飾品造形設計上的表現研究,呈現新飾品設計思維。

“Bionics”,as the term suggests, means to learn ,imitate or acquire enlightenment---something that may help improve our lives , from the biological world . From man’s observation and study of biological environment , behaviors , functions , materials ,organism and systems ,an abundance of precious secrets has been obtained ,which contribute to human technological and social development .Man’s outlook on the world is still greatly influenced by the aesthetic balance of the Greek philosophers, the ideals of Plato and the form of Euclid geometry. We used to apply circles , parallel lines ,squares and rectangles to delineate nature and create arts .We even believe that music and art should be based on the same fundamental symmetry and relations.(John Briggs,1993) In the midst of nature’s confusion and disorder in structure ,fractal finds a certain property of order and innate laws of physics. Thus open the door for man’s eyes to see a new type of geometry .Fractal’s unique feature is gradually linked to read life application , the motto‘in harmony with nature’ is the proof of this trend. The stones in jewel’s form for ornament design are from nature and certainly possess the same basic patterns as contained in natural object .Ornaments made of stone or solo metal are designed in non-Euclid geometric forms , a lot of them are in organic or natural shapes .The derivative pattern of this convention corresponds with the image that is formed under the fractal geometric rule .The geometry of the great Nature has a very close relation with that of the fractal .The feature of form displayed by fractal is relation to ornament designs. In recent years ,ornament designs put stress on originality as people’s desire and demand for ornaments are growing stronger .If we are able to apply fractal in the area of ornament designs thereby bring forth a new idea on inspire new visions ,it will blaze new trails from the traditional Euclid geometric mode .This research is to study what is nature and fractal’s point of view ,will try to demonstrate the performance of fractal as applied in ornamental ,in the hope of presenting a new way of thinking for the art of design .
