Energy conservation has become an essential practice due to the inflating energy cost. In recent years, some schools improve learning efficiency through the provision of informational technology, internet, projectors and all kinds of advanced laboratory equipment in addition to the supplement of air conditioning to create a comfortable environment. All of these lead to increasing electricity expenditure. This study is designed to fit the schools’ agendas, through analyzing specific senior high school (school A) energy expenditure to provide a comprehensive energy saving method as a model reference of school energy saving. The thesis discusses the following: 1.Illustrate the main electric equipment in schools and its operational mechanism and energy expenditure principle. 2.Illustrate the main electric equipment in accordance with energy saving methods, such as power and lighting system, air conditioning, informational mechanic room, warm-water swimming pool and kitchen appliances etc. 3.Analyze and verify energy saving exemples according to school A’s energy expenditure statistics over the years, and develop a future energy saving target.
