The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between social support and well-being of seventh and ninth-grade students in Taoyuan county. The instruments used in this study were Student Social Support Scale and the short version of Chinese Happiness Inventory. The data analysis included descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA , product-moment correlation, and stepwise regression. The major findings were listed as follows: 1. The level of well-being of junior high school students was middle. 2. The level of social support of junior high school students was mid-to-high. 3. There was a significant difference in well-being in terms of different parents’ socioeconomic status. 4. There was a significant positive correlation between social support and well-being. 5. Social support could significantly predict well-being.
