以G-Mark獲獎設計探究設計特質與思維模式

The Study of Design Characteristics and Thinking Pattern From Japan’s G-Mark Awards.

摘要


開發中國家的競爭市場的擴張,已帶給台灣產業結構變化與轉型的契機,隨著社會科學研究的多元化發展與學術領域整合的影響,社會思潮的變遷與價值觀的自省,設計特質或思維等範疇,目前均尚未呈現出系統性或理論性的探討,呈現出風貌各異卻又共榮共存的現象。故本研究藉由國際設計競賽獲獎作品中探求設計的新思維與特質,以及設計構成要素與意涵,從日本優良設計系統的自省而衍生出的核心理念,思考當前設計領域關注的議題與國際優良設計的趨勢。研究方法主要是以札根理論以及趨勢分析等方法對1998~2008年日本G-MARK 獲獎作品之設計概念、設計評審等文本做分析。 研究結論包含延續設計活動的發展歷程、呈現領域與評判標準的變遷、以及提示新時代的設計思維。歸納出設計特質的9 大面向,包括:視覺面向、互動面向、革新面向、環境面向、整合面向、感官面向、使用面向等。並提出設計特質模式包含:科技構面、社會環境構面、人性思考構面、知識整合構面、多元發展構面。在設計思維的構成要素與特質方面,包含「感受力」、「整合力」、「調和力」、「創造力」等構面。在諸多設計特質與設計思維之間,隱含著顯性與隱性面相,也存在著不同程度的關聯性,例如人性思考、社會環境、心理、科技等因素,透過設計生命圈概念鏈結,對未來的設計思考,可提示出更多的創造性與可行性。其意義包含延續設計活動的發展歷程;呈現領域與評判標準的變遷;以及提示未來新時代的設計思維。 經由設計議題與社會性之探討,設計特質、設計思維與設計研究及產業發展的脈絡甚為密切,因此,希冀本研究之成果能作為今後設計學術與產業發展的重要指標或依據,並建構產、學得以共存、共榮的知識平台。

The expansion of competitive market in developing market has brought opportunities to Taiwan’s industry, particularly in the changes to its industrial structure and transformation. Despite the influence coming from the diversified development of social science research, the integration of academic sectors, the changes to social ideology and the review of sense of values, design characters or concepts, have not presented a kind of systematic or theoretical study. Usually, design characters and concepts merely show various styles but coexist and thrive with each other at the same time. Therefore, through awarded international design, this study explored the new concepts and characters in designs and the composition elements and complications inside the concepts and characters. Aiming at Japan’s excellent design system, from the review of it to its core philosophy, this study pondered over the design topics and the trend of being internationally excellent design. The research methodology is using ground theory and trend analysis to examine the design concepts and assessment, by documentations, of those awarded works of Japan G-MARK during 1998 ~ 2008. The study conclusion included the activity development of extending design, the changes to design fields & assessment and the new era design concepts. From the aspect of individual design/work, in total there were nine design characters, which include vision, interaction, innovation, environment, integration, sense and usage, etc. -> However, from the aspect of feature models during the studied period, features models include technology, social environment, human thinking, knowledge integration and multi-development, etc. In terms of composition elements of design concepts, the elements include ‘sensibility’, ‘integration’, ‘harmonization’ and ‘creativity’, etc. Between various design characters and concepts, there are some dominant and subordinate elements, which also present different extent of relations, such as human thinking, social environment, psychology and technology, etc. Through these connections, more creativity and feasibility for future design could be inspired. In other words, design activity and development could be sustained. The changes to design fields and to assessment criteria and the inspiration for design concept in the future could be enlightened as well. The threads of thoughts in design characters, design concepts and in design research and industrial development are closely linked with each other. It is hoped that this study result could become a part of index or base for design or industrial development in the future.
