繪畫教學方案對提昇重度自閉症學生語言表達能力之行動研究

摘要


本研究旨在探討繪畫教學方案提昇一位重度自閉症國中一年級 女生語言表達能力之教學歷程與結果。研究方法採用行動研究,行動策略分成三階段,第一階段投影片教學,第二階段繪畫教學,第三階段繪畫情境故事教學。本研究以學生熟悉的生活情境,設計郊遊踏青、家庭生活、學校生活三個主題九個單元之教材進行教學。教學後並以觀察記錄的方式探討自然情境下類化的情形。學習成效分析以個案在語言表達之總詞數、相異詞數、平均句長、迷思語及回應方式、不當行為等各指標中前、後測之進步情形,類化成效則比較其在自然情境下之語言表達平均句長、迷思語、回應方式等三項之表現。 研究結果發現:一、以學生之優勢能力設計繪畫教學案以促進自閉症學生語言表達是可行的模式。二、繪畫教學方案對自閉症學生語言表達的學習有正向結果。三、繪畫教學方案實施後自閉學生在自然情境下的語言表達有類化效果。四、繪畫教學方案實施過程中,重度自閉症學生不當行為發生次數減少。

This research explores the teaching progress and result of a painting tutorial program (PTP) to improve the speech ability of a grade seven girl with severe autism. By adopting an action research method, the action strategy involves three phases. The first phase applies a slide tutorial; the second phase a plain painting tutorial and the third phase a painting tutorial associated with situated learning. Based on the life situations familiar to the subject, a nine-unit course is designed, covering three topics, i.e. hiking, family life and school life. After teaching, the girl’s generalization ability in real situations is under observation and recorded. The learning effect of the subject is evaluated by six speech indicators: number of total words, number of different words, mean length of utterances (MLU), mazes, reaction pattern and improper behavior. The indicators before and after the PTP are compared to see the changes. The generalization effect is evaluated by comparing MLUs, mazes and reaction patterns of the subject’s speech in real situations. The research uncovers the following facts. 1. It is feasible to design a PTP for an autistic student that has advantageous ability in painting, in order to improve his/her speech ability. 2. A PTP causes positive learning effect on speech for an autistic student. 3. After carrying on a PTP, an autistic student’s speech shows generalization effect in real situation. 4. While running a PTP, the improper behaviors of a severe autistic student reduce.‏
