母國制度環境對中國跨國企業產品發展成長率之影響

摘要

中國大陸經濟的崛起，牽動著全球經貿版圖的消長，在世界經濟和對外直接投資中的重要性日益突顯，跨國企業投資也與母國的產業結構轉型和升級相呼應。本研究主旨在實證研究跨國企業直接投資(Outward Foreign Direct Investment, OFDI) 活動會受到母國制度環境的影響，以制度理論為基礎，中國跨國企業為對象，樣本中採用台灣經濟新報(TEJ)的上海深圳證交所上市的中國企業對外直接投資資料，針對1991-2010年間324家從事對外投資行為的中國企業，以年-公司的資料共有4,833筆觀察值。透過複迴歸分析(Multiple Regression Analysis)進行分析。分析結果發現，在中國制度環境中，產業環境以服務業發展程度越高、人民生活水準越好、以及都市更新程度越現代化，對跨國企業產品發展率有顯著正向影響。研究結果顯示此論點確實有助於解釋制度理論強調制度會影響組織的決策和行為。

The rise of China's economy affects the growth of the global economic trade and the increasingly importance of foreign direct investment in the main global economy. This study aims to empirically examine how MNEs outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) activities is constrained by its home institutions from the perspective of institution theory. Taking Chinese MNEs as our research object, the sample collected from Taiwan's economic intelligence (TEJ). There are 324 Chinese MNEs engaged in foreign investment with a total of 4,833 observations during 1991-2010. Using the multiple regression analysis, the result shows that development of service industry, living standards and city modernization all have significant positive impact on the rate of MNEs product development. It proves that institution system will affect the organization's strategy and behavior.
