泰國報德善堂志工參與動機之探討

摘要

本研究旨在探討在報德善堂擔任志願服務工作的志工們的參與動機。經過訪談二十八位志工們後，發現在報德善堂當志工者具有各種不同的動機類型，這些動機的起因來自他們的生活背景；有的則受到其社會關係人的影響。這些動機包括：一、信仰大峰祖師；二、做功德的觀念；三、曾經接受報德善堂的援助；四、經過親友介紹和看到親友當志工；五、關懷社會問題及關懷社會受難者；六、多重動機。

This research aims at probing into the motivation of volunteers in Thailand’s Poh Teck Tung Foundation. After interviewing with twenty-eight Poh Teck Tung Foundation volunteers, we can clasify the types of volunteers’ motivation of Poh Teck Tung Foundation into six catagories. They comprise of: 1. Belief in Master Dafeng, 2.Making merit, 3. Receiving assistance from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, 4. There are family members or friends who participate as volunteers, 5. Social dedication or helping the socially disadvantaged, and 6. Combination of various motivations. The motivation of volunteers is also affected by their own personal background and social conditions they are in.
