Advance Integrated Readout Circuit Design for Single and Dual Band Infrared Focal Plane Array

摘要


本論文研究一個可同時適用於單雙波段紅外線感測器的讀取電路設計,首先討論單波段讀取電路的架構,在電路的像素電路採用直接注入式(direct injection)的電路架構,而讀取電路的方式使用快照(snap-shop)的方式,在行共用讀取電路中,可以將積分信號放大以及消除,使信號輸出得到最大擺輻。而雙波段讀取電路以單波段讀取電路為基礎,再增加了一組畫面積分控制信號,使不同波段的感測器有不同的積分時間,並且增加了兩個數位控制控信號,使讀取電路有四種讀取模式,可以單雙波段輸出。 在讀取電路的設計,採用了TSMC 0.35um 2P4M COM 5V的製程,像素電路的佈局使用的面積為30umx30um,雙波段的像素電路中,中長波段的像素面積都是30umx30um,在單波段讀取電路,設定的電流範圍為0.1nA~10nA,設計了20x16陣列大小的讀取電路,得到的電路的輸出擺幅為2.8V,最快的像素輸出頻率為6 MHz,而整體的功率消耗為8.878mW。 而雙波段讀取電路,設定中波長電流輸入為1nA~2nA,長波長為6nA~8nA,每個波段的陣列大小為20x16陣列,可輸出的最快頻率為12 MHz,電路的輸出擺幅與單波段相同為2.8V。

This thesis discusses the readout circuit design for single and dual band infrared focal plane array detectors. First discusses the structure of single band readout circuit design. The pixel circuit uses direct injection structure. Integral signals are sampled at the same time which method is called snap-shop. The pixel circuit output signals are scaled up and skimmed by column sharing circuit. The dual band readout circuit is based on single band readout circuit. The control circuit increases one of extra frame control circuit. Let dual band circuit has two different integral time. Last increases two control signal to support the readout circuit have four output mode. The dual band readout circuit can select single or dual band readout mode. The readout circuit is achieved by using TSMC 0.35um 2P4M COMS 5V process. The size of the pixel circuit is 30umx30um. In single band readout circuit, photo-currents varies from 0.1nA to 10nA. A 20x16 pixel single band readout circuit is designed according to single-band circuit. The output voltage swing is over 2.8V. Fastest pixel output frequency is 6 MHz . The total power consumption is 8.878 mW. The dual-band readout circuit, the mid-wavelength input current is from 1nA to 2nA and the long-wavelength is form 6nA to 8nA. Each band of the array size is 20x16 array. The fastest output frequency is about 12 MHz. The output voltage swing of the circuit is 2.8V.
